Not Me Monday

* I did not miss last weeks not mes because I was way sick last Monday... not me.. I never get sick!
* I did not bawl through the end of Marley and Me and then proceed to cry while I was leaving the movie, in the car and that night! I am not that big of a baby.
* I did not find tons of dust on my chest of drawers yesterday...
* I did not hear my husband say... "Man we need to clean.." and then sit in front of the TV and watch football
* I did not chuckle to myself while hubby tried for 7 hours to get his surround sound hooked up! He finally got it:) yeah!
* I did not go to bed at 1030 on a Friday night!
* I did not look in my fridge last night and realize we had NO FOOD! Or at least none that we could make a meal out of!!
* I did not sleep in till 1030 both days this weekend!
* I have not been waking up at 4 am lately and then not been able to fall back asleep! ekk!
* I did not cry when we left my grandparents on Sunday... I am not a baby
* I did not get a lil sad when I realized I wouldn't be around a computer on Christmas day!!

Happy Monday Friends!
I am off to Santa Fe in the morning and will maybe be able to post while we are away....
At least I hope I can:)

I'm Back:) Merry Late Christmas!!

Hi my friends.... this is the first time I have been in able to sit down and blog and the first time I have been around a computer in about 4 days:)So sorry for being MIA:) I have been catching up on every one's blogs and I cant wait to upload all my Christmas pictures:) Here is a lil picture less recap of the last week:)

Last Friday: Drove to Stillwater to spend Christmas with my in laws. We went to this really fun hibachi grill and had some amazing food:)

Saturday: Did a lil Christmas shopping with my sister in law and mother in law and then went and saw the movie Despaurex... the mouse movie! It was my nephew Grant's first movie to ever go to in theater!! When then went back to my in laws and the boys made Christmas dinner. Steaks:) Then we opened gifts and it was soo much fun because our nephew is at the most fun age! He handed out all the gifts and his face lit up with excitement while doing it:)

Sunday: Went to mass with Ryan's parents and then headed back to Tulsa for my parents Christmas open house! My mom, sister, aunt and I went and got our makeup done. We love an excuse to go to Saks and get our makeup done:) Then we went back to my parents and enjoy the company of close family and friends:)

Monday: I was sick this whole day:( Very sick... no fun at all!! Monday night I was able to pull myself somewhat together to go to Zio's with my Tulsa besties and exchange gifts... This year was our third annual Christmas exchange.. We call it EAAT Christmas... we all love to eat and our initials spell Emily, Amy, Allison, Teresa... EAAT:)

Tuesday: Had the day off... finished some last minute Christmas shopping and got ready for Ryan's Christmas surprise he had planned for us:) He picked me up from our house at 3 and took me to the Rockettes:) Soo much fun! He got floor seats and it was amazing:) Then he took me ice skating in downtown and then off to dinner at our favorite Mexican place;) Then we went to my parents for a tacky Christmas Sweater party that my brother was having... My brother and his friends rented a trolley and we went all over Tulsa looking at Christmas lights! SO FUN

Wednesday: Woke up and put all of Ryan's Christmas presents out:) Ryan had to go run a few errands and I set up Christmas while he was out!! When he got back we ate lunch and then did our Christmas together! Then we headed to my parents to drop our stuff off and go to the Christmas mass! After mass we went to our family friends the Armstrong's and celebrated Christmas there. My family has been spending Christmas Eve with the Armstrong's forever! It is always sooo sooo much fun:) After dinner we went back to my mom and dads and opened one gift.. always a pair of pjs:) Then we all headed to my sisters room and slept in there... bad idea: 4 people and 3 dogs= no sleep:) But it was a tradition!!

Thursday: Woke up at 830 and ran out to see if Santa came;) Yes Santa still sets all our gifts outs for us:) Opened gifts.. ate breakfast...showered and headed to OKC. We went to my dads side of the family first and celebrated there and then headed to Norman to spend Christmas with my moms side!! Ate good food and spent lots of quality time with family! We then went to my Gaw Gaw and Paw Paws and spent the night. Always so nice to spend time with them! Didn't sleep well that night either because they are older and keep the temp in the house on 80! YES 80! Ryan and I were sweating horribly in our sleep:)

Friday: Woke up and went to lunch with Gaw Gaw and Paw Paw and then went and saw Marley and Me... GREAT movie... but very sad.... I was bawling like boo... hoooing!! ha!! Then we loaded up and headed back home. My grandparents always cry when we leave. Breaks my heart! Wish we lived closer! Last night we had a total chill night... we ate pizza and Ryan worked on his new receiver and surround sound... He has been working on it for 7 hours and just now as I type... he finally hooked it up:) He is dancing around the room with excitement:))

Can't wait to share more memories, pictures and read every one's elses blogs... I have missed you guys... I tell a lot of stories about blog friends.. Ryan is always like.. so how do you make a blog friend... don't know if men will ever really get it:)

Happy Weekend:)

Let the Christmas Gift Exchanges begin:)

Last night we celebrated Christmas with my brothers God-mother Missi. She is more like an aunt to us or a sister to us than just a friend. Every Christmas we exchange gifts with her and have dinner and celebrate the Christmas season!

This year we celebrated at my parents house and we had steak and bake potatoes and salad:) Missi got me a North Face Fleece and some North face snow boots.. they are soo stinking cute:) They are brown with the North Face part in pink:) I LOVE them and I will be able to wear them lots when we go to Santa Fe on the 30Th:)

Also, my mom went ahead and gave the dogs their Christmas presents early!
She got them all new beds and the beds have their names monogrammed on them:) Sooo cute:) Below are some pictures from our fun night! I love Christmas because I love spending time with the ones we love the most!!

Wordful Wednesday!

Thanks Angie, for hosting such a fun carnival:) I love being very wordy with my descriptions of pictures:)Stop bye her blog and play along!

When I first met my husband I had no idea that he spent most of his younger years up until college on a ranch. His dad was a ranch hand and Ryan spent all his time in the summers and weekends... school breaks..etc. On the ranch with his dad. That being said, I thought once we started dating that I must learn to embrace the outdoors and be open to camping, fishing, hunting etc. Although he doesn't hunt, some family members of his do.

So for his 25Th birthday I thought it would be fun to surprise him with a camping trip! I told him to be ready at five and I was going to come over and pick him up. Well he was driving but I went there in his truck because I had everything all packed up and ready to go! I made croissant sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, pasta salad, and brought wine:) Not your typical camping trip menu:) ha! Once we were together I said "Surprise we are going to skiatook lake and going camping:)" He was very very excited! We got there and set up shop, I learned how to start a fire and how to put a tent together! The two pictures below are from the camping trip and are some of my favorites of the two of us. We just seem so young and in love and carefree!!

Keep in mind... it started pouring down rain at about 3am and so my lil camper.. ranch hand boy... decided we should pack it up and head back to his apt!! ahahah! Apparently I should of brought the tarp for the tent so that rain wouldn't get in our tent:) I guess you live and you learn!
