I am a firm believer in "Thank You" notes. Whether it is just a thank you to a friend for being a good friend or a thank you for any kind of present.... I will write it! Maybe it is because I was raised that way or maybe it is because I appreciate anything and everything given to me.(Not saying those who do not write thank yous... don't appreciate things).
Here are some reasons why I love Thank You Notes:
* Everyone LOVES getting mail
* Let's the giver know you got the present
* Let's the giver know you appreciate the present or kind words or whatever it is they are thanking you for
* Shows gratitude
* Shows thoughtfulness
* Shows appreciation
* Shows that you took time out of your busy life to sit down and thank the giver for what they have given
I do not dislike people who don't send Thank yous... I just think to me, personally... thank yous mean a lot. A lot of my friends are really good at sending them, but some have never sent me a thank you! That sometimes bothers me... but like I said.. It probably bothers me because my husband and I write thank yous for everything. We were both raised that way. My dad will go to a dinner party and that night go home and write a thank you for it.
What do you guys think about Thank yous?
PS- I am not trying to offend anyone who doesn't send thank yous. Just wanted to see if other people still send thank yous?

I wish I was better about it! But none of my friends are really in the practice either. I host parties a lot a for the first time, someone brought me a hostess gift in December. I was surprised, and flattered. It was so sweet!
I'm a firm believer in thank you notes. If I get a gift I don't go more than 2 weeks without sending a thank you.
I'm a stickler for thank you notes... I love sending mail in general, but thank you notes are a must-do.
HUGE proponent of thank you notes! I'm not good at sending them for just anything, but if someone gives a gift, etc., they are getting one from us.
The ones you posted were really cute... Makes me want to go buy some new ones!
I am pretty good about it because of my grandma...although I didn't send any for either of my son's birthday gifts...and should you also for Christmas?
I did do them for every single baby shower gift!!!
I think the important thing is acknowledgement...regardless of what form it comes in...right?!
I'm big on thank you notes! I always send them..even if they are a little late, haha. I agree with you though for sure :)
I love the idea, but alas I must confess that I am NOT the best at remember to send them.
me too ! If someone can take the time to send something I can m,ake the time to say thanks
My mom had a rule growing up that we were not allowed to use our new toys, clothes, whatever we had received until we had written thank-you notes. Therefore, they were done expediently. To this day, I feel guilty about using something before the thank you is in the mail. I write them for anything and everything, and just sent a big batch out to my girlfriends who came to support me at my grandad's funeral. I love receiving mail, and who doesn't like to know how much their kind thoughts and actions really mean to someone?
I LOVE and ADORE thank you notes...just got the last sent out from the holidays too.

I'm ashamed to admit this but I am horrible at Thank you notes! I know I know, so bad. I always think, OH I am going to write them a thank you note and then I never do. shame. shame. I am working on it though!
I love the idea of thank you notes. I think i am going to strat doing that. Usually i just send a text message, but a card is SOOOOO much cooler :)
I had a very hard time with thank you's after the wedding, I didn't know what to say to everyone. My friends were obviously easy to send notes to, but friends of my parents...that had me stumped. I did it though, not well but at least they got sent.
Your blog is adorable! I'm looking forward to following =)
One of my favourite topics Em!
I agree with you, i love thank you notes! I hate it when people dont send thank yous, especially on big occasions, like weddings etc
I wish I was better at them too but I do love getting them!
I try to send Thank you notes for everything...but am sometimes too busy; so, if I don't get to mail one, I ALWAYS make sure to at least call the person. I want to teach my children the value in being thankful and appreciative.
I personally love Thank-You's too. I've just gotten really bad at sending them out in a "reasonable" amount of time these days...but I do get them out. It's just a really nice personal way to be sure to let those who took time to do something for you, know that their time was much appreciated!
Thanks for following my blog! I love thank you notes too, and I think I'm addicted to cute thank you notes. I want to buy them anytime I see cute ones!
