Today's Economy
Luckily I have a job that is very stable.. My husband too... and I feel soo blessed. I know there are thousands of others who are not as blessed as I. For example, right now at my company we do not have enough work to keep two of my favorite temps. One is an 80 year old man, who while being here as been learning English. I look to him as a grandpa... Everyday he learns new words he practices them with me!! Well today will be his last day because my dad doesn't have enough work in the shop for him.... I have been bawling crying for the last hour. Right now he is calling his precious wife to come and get him... I really wish things were busier here so we could keep him. It is going to be sooo hard for him to find a new job. My heart aches for him and his family.. I barely know him and I love him!! If you saw him you would love him too... he is 80 and really cant get around well.. but he is the first one there in the morning and the last one to leave.. he does every single task he is able too and does it with a smile. I know it also, kills my dad to have to let people go too..

Oh honey -- I hear ya on this one. My company is laying people off left and right. I'm OK for now, but it makes me so sad.
I'm so sorry. Yesterday we had a company wide meeting and our founder, in front of over 1000 employees broke down and apologized to all of us for the lay offs. We are a big company, but so much like family it is hard when anyone gets laid off.
I know exactly how you feel, my dad has had to do the same. Our ecoonomy is getting scary, I don't even turn the news on. I am just trusting in God that everything will pull thru. How are you feeling???

Amen to that! I sure hope it gets better soon!! There are so many businesses going down the tubes and it's heartbreaking!!

Awww, I'll be praying for your dad as I know it has to be hard to let him go, and definitely will be praying for ther gentleman!!

Ryan and I both have stable jobs too. I'm a SAHM and Ryan works for UPS.
Oh, I'm so sorry! Our company is really small, but they had to lay off two people at the beginning of the year. It was *really* hard.
I keep praying that the economy will get better soon and that people can start bouncing back.

I think those of us who have jobs should be very thankful. My heart goes out to this sweet little old man.
That is so sad. I feel so greatful that my hubby and I have stable jobs but there are so many who are losing everything. Things really need to get better..

It is so sad and depressing when you hear about people losing their jobs. It really makes me relate to the brandon heath song give me your eyes and just want to pray for people that i do not even know.
