Weekend Happenings:)

Friday:)
Friday night we went to a friends house and just laid around... well I laid around and the others sipped on some vino:) I just laid and chatted from under a blanket on the couch!ha!

Saturday:)
We went and got Ryan some new tires for his truck... wowzer.. did anyone know that tires are around 600 bucks these days..and that's the low end tires! Bye Bye bonus Ryan got this month:(
We also went to our adorable nephews third birthday party on Saturday:) It was a Toy Story Themed party:)
Here are some adorable pictures of our precious lil Grant and his cousins on his birthday:)

Saturday Night I was all alone! I watched 5 hours of DVRed shows, ate subway, thought someone was in the house(because the dogs kept barking at my bedroom door for now reason!!), locked myself in the bedroom and was fast asleep by 930:) What a great Saturday night:)

Sunday we slept in and chatted with my parents before they headed back to their own house! For letting them stay with us they gave us a bunch of household products and inside their Thank You card... said in a couple months they will buy our baby's new furniture:) Yeah Yeah Yeah for that:) I laid around for about 2 hours.. while Ryan itemized our taxes and then I cleaned our house! We went to church and then went out to dinner with our friends Allison and Kyle:)

Halley actually laying on her bed:)

Overall it was a great weekend!!!

Baby Update:)
Ryan and I went to our 12 week appointment yesterday:) I weighed in, peed in a cup:) ha! and we got to listen to the babies heartbeat for about 3 minutes:) The babies heart was beating around 156ish:) Yeah for a healthy heartbeat!! We go next week for the quad screening... they do an ultrasound and screen for chromosome disorders.. such as down syndrome. I will be 13 weeks then and she said MAYBE they will be able to tell boy/girl.. but probably not! Dang it! Its killing me not knowing!! I am such a planner and have to know:) ha! But really all that matters is that we have a healthy lil baby:)

Has anyone every done any of the old wives tales???
I want to try the needle/wedding ring one......
I read that if the babies heartbeat is over 150 it is a girl... but really I have heard that old wives tale is not the slightest true!!

Happy Tuesday:)

Don't count on the old wives tales! I did most of them and they all contradicted the other! And, most of them said boy...We obviously had a girl!

It was really fun not finding out with Cyd, but we may find out this time....

Old wives tales ARE so fun!! I did them with both and they were always correct! The wedding rings went in circles, the heartbeats were over 150 and the best one was the Chinese Gender Chart (you should google it!) ... it's mother's age at conception and month of conception = Blue box or Pink box. Mine were always PINK!!!

I can tell you the heartbeat one is totally not true. both my boys had heartbeats over 150!! And they both had full heads of hair, and I had no heartburn. But they are fun to do. :-)

Wow, that's grea that your parents are buying the furniture!!
I loved trying to figure out the old wives tales...like if you have heartburn, baby has alot of hair...which was true for me (angie had tons of hair and I had tons of heartburn). The one that worked everytime for guessing the sex was the chinese calendar...try it and let me know!!

what up girl?

I did the old wives tales with my second and they were true...the gender predictor and everything.

My boys had higher heart rates in the beginning than they did in the end...so before we knew, it was high 150s and 160s...then as he grew, it was high 140s and low 150s.

I gained weight different both times, I was sicker the second, I was really emotional the second...

Bottom line, you just never know...til they are on the outside! ;) I had a lot of ultrasounds the second time around and asked them to check to make sure all the boy parts were still accounted for!
