A Little Background:)
Ryan had won a trip through his work to any places that were on this list he had! He told me about the trip and I was soo very excited for him. He even asked me to go and told me he wanted me to help him pick out where we should go. We had been dating for about 3 years and this was going to be our first trip as just the two of us! We had both been on trips with my family and his family but never one with just us! I was sooo excited!! The list included places like Disneyworld, San Antonio, Phoenix, LA, San Diego, Niagara Falls(Canada)...etc. etc... Well we had been to a lot of the places but not to Niagara Falls... so that's where we chose to go:)


We left on Wednesday, July 11!! I was soo excited!! I thought maybe we would get engaged and when I told my parents goodbye Tuesday night my sister said, "call me first if he proposes!!" Well, my mom knew that he was going to propose because he had taken my parents out to dinner Monday night and asked for their permission:) Well, when my mom heard what my sister said to me, she said, "Sweetie, don't get your hopes up.. he hasn't even asked us or told us about getting engaged.. so its not going to happen this trip!!" I was crushed and blocked the whole idea out of my mind. We spent all day wed and thurs touring all around Niagara Falls... we did all the tourist things and even met some new friends! The whole time I was begging Ryan to go on a carriage ride by the falls at night. He told me I would be disappointed because he went on one in New York and it was boring! But I begged because it was on "my list." (list of 100 things to do in a lifetime) He continued to tell me no everyday! Well Friday we woke up and went to breakfast and then decided to go on a riverboat ride through the Niagara rapids!! It was the scariest thing I have ever done! It was cold and we were doing 360s in the middle of rapid water!! But it definitely was fun:) I didn't realize we were going to get soo wet and so I had on just everyday summer clothes...

We took a tour of all of Niagara after the riverboat outing and then headed back to our hotel, showered and got cleaned up and went to lunch at Hard Rock cafe:) it was super yummy! We then went to the Nestlé chocolate factory and then back to the hotel to take a nap! That night we had a dinner to attend that his work was throwing... We dressed up really nice and headed to dinner:)


I still had no idea what lay ahead for the night:) After dinner we were trying to decide what to do and Ryan said, " Do you want to go on a carriage ride?" DUHHHH!!!! Id love too! So after dinner Ryan said he needed to go upstairs to grab his coat and that I should grab mine too... Little did I know he was getting the ring:) We picked out our carriage and were on our merry way:) I was glowing with excitement because I could mark carriage ride with someone I love.. off my list of things to do in my lifetime!!
This picture was taken as soon as we got on the carriage... Notice Ryan's had covering his pocket.. he was afraid I would feel the ring box up against my leg! I certainly didn't:)


He was sooo calm and collected. I really had no idea whatsoever! I had wiped any thought of it out of mind when my mom shot me down!! So while we were on the carriage ride... he told me to look up at the rotating diner... which I had seen a million times.... I looked up thinking, "we have seen this every night this week babe." Then he nudged me as if saying, "ok look back at me." I looked back at him and he was sitting with a white box with a light in it with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen in my life. I said, "OH MY GOSH... r you serious.. OH MY GOSH...." He then told me how much he loved me and how he never thought he could love someone as much as he loved me and asked me to marry him!! I said about ten more times.. OH MY GOSH... and I was bawling and he was like WELL??? I yelled OF COURSE!!!! He put the ring on me and people in the street started saying, "He just proposed to her.. ahhhh" and random people were clapping!

Since it is Valentine's week! I just wanted to post a LOVE story:)
Ryan made me the happiest girl in the entire world that Friday the 13th:) (When we called to tell my Gaw Gaw she said.. Oh its even Friday the 13th- thanks:))
I love you Ryan... I cried typing this story out again:) Thank you for proposing.... marrying me and making me the happiest girl ever! My cup runneth over!
