Random Monday

Hi Hi Hi:)
Lots of random tid bits and also, some feedback :)

* I am so glad last week is over! Please continue to pray for our dear family friends as they continue to find answers and strength!

* We had our first shower on Saturday and it was so much fun! It was a couples shower and my friends really out did themselves!

* Cate got so much great stuff

* Lots of pictures to come this week and a 28 week bump alert! She is really growing and so is momma:)

* Ryan actually LOVED opening all the gifts! He would put her bibs on and he especially loved the stroller we got, he was doing tricks with it!ha

* My brother got us one of those flip video cameras! We love it

* I video taped Ryan putting together Cate's rocker and I video taped her messy, not put together room, I will share this week

* Poor Daisy has a staff infection last week and is on antibiotic and a medicated shampoo... the infection caused her to stink... we called her Stinky Head... but guess what, after last nights bath... no more stinky head!YAY

* I took the dogs with me to get a car wash, Halley has been in the car before, so it was no big deal for her, Daisy was freaked!! She wouldn't lay down and when we pulled out and I put on the wind shield wipers... she was amazed! She followed the wipers with her head, back and forth, back and forth!

* Our 4d got moved to Thursday, I hope she shows her face this time

* I have my weekly Dr apt wed, pray it goes perfect

* I must be nesting because I have a few household questions for my fine bloggy friends

* Our cabinets are painted this greeny color and over the paint is like a glaze.... I need to know what to use to wash them... I have tried soap and water and that i not doing the trick, the old owners didn't keep them up, and they are dirty.... any advice on what to use on them to get them sparkling clean????????

* Also, Ryan planted our flowers in our front bed and he didn't pull/kill some of the weeds before doing soo, is there anything I(I mean Ryan) can spray in there to get those dang weeds out... and grass is growing in there too... IT DRIVES ME NUTS!

* I am in love with hydrangeas... does anyone know how much the plants cost? Do they need to be in direct sunlight or partial?

* I hope everyone is having a great week so far:) I will be reading lots of blogs today and tomorrow!yahooo:)

Hope you are feeling great and so glad you racked up at your shower :) I use pledge on our cabinets and they look great afterwards..hydrangeas can be in direct light, but keep them watered and don't plant them near anything with big root systems already established (big trees) because the other roots will suck up all the water(this happened to us last summer)hope you have better luck, they are some of my favorite flowers!

I adore hydrangeas and I have one in my back yard. While they can be in direct sunlight, you'll need to ensure that they are watered daily, especially in the first year. They are a little more tempramental in their first year and require more TLC. Partial sunlight, however, is ideal. Also, in the first year, it is important to cut the flowers back quite a bit, so that it focuses on growing strong roots. I'll try to post a picture of mine on my blog soon. My grandmother grew gorgeous hydrangeas and I planted it in her memory 4 years ago. :-)

I can only answer (partially) one of your questions...the hydrangeas. I love them too. There are two kids...little and big. They call for direct sun. Up here the big ones are $18/plant and I think the little ones are around $12/plant. Hope that helps - they are so pretty!

Wow, you are one busy lady! I can't wait to see pictures of your bump and little Cate. I am sure you are as adorable as ever.

And unfortunately I can't provide answers to any of your questions, hehe.

I love all your questions. you crack me up! I can only answer one:
Hydrangea plants are around $15 at lowes, home depot, etc. You should try to get an endless summer version. They are supposed to bloom more. They like morning sun, but droop in the afternoon sun. Ideally they should bloom all summer. I went to a nursery and they told me to buy peet moss to mix in with the dirt when I buried it--something about it holding moisture. I love learning new things from nurseries.

Can't wait to see the pictures from the shower!! I love hydrangeas but have no idea how much they cost due to the fact that we live in an apt...which I need to update you on that situation!

I love hydrangeas, but I've heard they need a LOT of water to grow big and beautiful. Hoping you get a good 4-D ultrasound!

Murphy's Oil works great for cleaning cabinets and it smells delish!

Ryan is a plant and grass freak. That is what his degree is in. Anyway, your hydrangeas like partial light better. He says they grow better in partial light.

I can't wait to see that bump and I want to see your gifts from the shower! Exciting!

I just love reading your blog posts! You have the best attitude--so happy and fresh. Love it!

Yay for baby showers!! Continued prayers for your family friends and for you that everything continues to go well with you and Baby Cate.

I am of no help with the weeding and flowers--I have a black thumb. Boo!!

Have you tried taking some Windex or some cleaner like that to your cabinents? That's what I use on mine and it works pretty well. Mine are an antique white paint with a glaze over them.

Can't wait to see the 28 week bump!

Hugs to you, friend!!
