Pregnancy Worries

As the big day gets closer and closer... my anxiousness... worrying... excitement... nervousness... as hit an all time high.
Ryan gets more excited as it gets closer and yes I am SO EXCITED too but I also am a bit scared!
- How will my labor be?
- I pray Cate will be healthy
- Will I be a good mom?
- Will I be able to be a good mom, good wife, good daughter, good sister and good friend all at the same time?
- Will I be a nightmare to be around because I haven't had any sleep?

I know God will take care of all my worries but I hope all you moms out there and those who are not.. have experienced some kind of anxiety like this, whether it be over becoming a new mom or some big life changing step you have taken in your life, then I will know I am not alone:)

Happy Weekend My LOVES:)

You are definitely not alone! It seems like there is always something to worry over but that is when you just put your faith in God!

P.S. Can't wait to see pictures of baby Cate when she arrives!

Girl, I worried about the same exact things while I was pregnant with Brody. It seems that everything falls into place naturally. You will be a great momma, I just know it!!! God takes care of everything and give us the strength to do all things. Like be up throughout the night with a crying baby, but giving us enough strength to get up out of bed to help our hubby get out the door to work. You body gets used to all tihngs as well. Being a momma is wonderful, your goanna do great!!!

You're not alone, Em. Everyone worries and I have a feeling that worrying when they're babies is just the beginning. I think we'll worry even more as they get older! :) You're going to be fine. God is going to take care of you. Can't wait for Cater Bug to get here!

Don't worry about the being a mom part! Just love her to pieces (which you already do!) and you will be great.

I'm FREAKING out about being able to do everything and be in school. I can't even imagine what you're going through! You're surrounded by lots of amazing, understanding, and encouraging people so I'm sure you'll do it with flying colors!

I can't tell you not to worry - because if you stop worrying, what else is there to do ;P You'll do great, and read back on this post and be like "what was I so worried about?!" I'm not a mom yet, but I hear intuition kicks right in!! And a mom as excited as you are should do absolutely wonderful!

And keep in mind all the amazing people that surround you to help you along the way. You're very lucky!!!

(:

It's SOOOOO normal to feel that way before the birth!! But your instinct will kick in and you will be a nurturing wonderful mother!!
Plus you have such a good support system around you that you should get lots of help!!

When is your induction date?

You will be a fantastic mother--of course, I don't have kids yet, so, I'm not really in a place to be giving advice, but, from what I've seen with my own friends is to just do what you feel is right--not nessecarily what the books say, or what worked for someone else--do what you feel is right for you and Cate and it will be! I know you'll be a terrific mother and will handle all the challenged beautifully.

Woman, you are going to be a wonderful mommy, wife, sister, friend. but i totally understand your anxiety. Take if from someone who has had no sleep the past 5 days from labor/deliver/baby....you will be on a natural high for about a week until you realize your exhausted! haha. But you will be perfect!

Andrea said...

Totally normal! And, you'll be great! I don't necessarily agree that it all comes 'natural' per se, but, I definitely think you do trial and error and you eventually find your groove! Just know that you're not going to be able to do everything right... It's all about getting to know your little Cate and vise versa for her getting to know you! I'll be thinking & praying for ya!!!

If I was about to have a baby I think I would worry about all of those things as well.

I know I don't know you, but I'm about 100% positive that you are going to be a great Mommy! I'm also sure that you will be able to continue being a great wife, daughter, sister and friend as well.

You will be great!! I will say a prayer for you about a quick speedy delivery...oh and pain free. I will also pray for Cate to be a beautiful perfect baby girl.

I will be thinking about you!!

I can't tell you the number of panic attacks I had before I had my first son. But truly, I think there is such a rush of endorphins once the baby is born, it gets you through all those sleepless nights. Honestly, I think those were the happiest days of my life and I just couldn't believe how blessed I was to have this beautiful baby that was ALL MINE to love forever! Nothing anyone can say will stop your worrying, but it truly is going to be the most amazing experience of your life - TRUST ME!
