Baby Registering Suggestions

Calling all women who have had a baby, been around a baby or love all things baby:)

Because this post is your kind of post:)
We have our first shower June 13Th and well that means registering for this lil bundle of joy is right around the corner:) SO here is where you guys come in.... I am going to post about some stuff I have questions on and leave it open to you guys to let me know what you think about certain products.. and also fill me in on your favorite products... include links so I can take a look:)

Stroller
I really like this Gracco Stroller System.. it has the car seat and base and stroller all included... I wish I could go all girlie pink but what happens when baby two is a boy... Is this pattern too boyish for Cate??




I also really like this Bumble ride Flyer that Erin registered for..
Does the car seat come with it?




What is your favorite stroller/travel system??

I know I definitely want the Sweet Peace.. Erin also registered for it and blogged about it:) Thanks for the advice my sweet friend:)




What about video baby monitors?? I've heard a lot of great things about them:)




A lot of my friends have said nah on the Diaper Genie.. I know every time I have been babysitting or around my cousins.. etc.. I just cant figure it out.. My friend loves the Diaper Champ....



Any suggestions?

I am planning on breast feeding.. I say planning because sometimes baby doesn't get the hang of it or there are circumstances where it isn't possible... but I do want too.... My sister in law bought her friend this:



I know some people rent or buy them from the hospital but I thought I could put mine on my registry

Thoughts on Children

Being around my nephew this weekend made me appreciate the little things in life... Children are such wonderful gifts from God and are SO easily entertained.... Hiding under a blanket, reading a book, standing on a soft patch of grass with no shoes on, getting candies for pottying in the big boy potty, turning a bed into a pirate ship, rolling a ball up and down the stairs in the backyard, playing keep away with the tee-balls, finding a snake in the driveway, seeing grandpas new toolbox, getting to go outside to take Halley potty and getting excited when they can go potty outside too;) .... children appreciate the little things in life and always stop to explore and smell the roses.. I think that there is a lot I can learn from a child....

This pictures melts my heart.. it my brother Patrick and my nephew Grant.. they are playing a game with Chris, Ryan and their dad.... rolling a ball up and down the back steps... its the simple things that make guys smile and happy:)

I'm glad my brother can still take time to relax during pre-finals week and remember what it is to be a child!!

We went to a rosary for a good family friend, whose father passed away.. While we were there we received small cards with a Saint on the front and poem on the back.. I wanted to share the poem

This little girl is growing like a wildfire:) She is right one track and her heart beat was a steady 147 beats a minute:) Grow my lil Cate grow:) She said the pain I have been having is round ligament pain and will prolly last until week 26 and some days it could be so bad that I will just want to put my feet up and lay around all day!! But she said that it is just pains associated with Cate growing:) We scheduled a 4d ultrasound for June 9Th at 9:00.. always love seeing my lil girl! It is amazing the love Ryan and I already have for her! Kinda makes me want to cry, thinking about holding her, snuggling her, smelling her (good and bad smells) and just loving her! Gosh I love her soo much already!!





I Love this man:) LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM:) Some nights I will just lay in bed and pray to God, "Thank you so much for blessing me with such a wonderful husband. I don't know what I would do without him... he really completes me and is my very best friend." I am soo very grateful for him and the love he gives me and Halley and Daisy and Cate:) It melts my heart when Ryan is right by my belly reading to Cate or just talking to her! I think I might bawl crying the first time I see the two of them together! Gosh, THANK YOU LORD for blessing me with this life I live! I am soo ever blessed!I know that no matter what life throws Ryan and I's way, we will overcome it together, side by side!

Monday Randomness:)

Hello Friends:)
Towards the end of last week.. I wasn't feeling the greatest.. allergies... growing pains... so that is why I haven't been on blogger since wed!! Friday I left work at 10 and slept the whole rest of the day!! I don't feel like the second trimester energy boost has ever really kicked into high gear for me!! Always so stinking tired!! And living in Oklahoma.. the weather is always changing and my allergies are ughhhh..... My Gaw Gaw always said to gargle salt water for a sore throat.. so for the last week.. I do it every morning and every night:)

* My amazing blog friend Melissa sent us the cutest stuff ever for Cate... U should hop on over to her blog and follow her:) She is amazing and ever so thoughtful:) She really just made my week last week:) Here is what she got Cate:)











* My best friend Allison... is pregnant:) She is 15 weeks and 3 days and is due October 9th!! Allison and I went to high school together and roomed together freshman year.... we also, both signed Gamma Phi freshman year too:) I am so happy for her and Kyle and so happy to be going through this with her! Our babies are going to be a month apart and bffs:) Keep Al and Kyle in your prayers.. prayers for a happy and healthy baby:)

* My first baby, Halley, is the apple of my eye.. And everyone keeps saying.. Oh that will change... well I really don't want her to hate me... and I am the one who has spoiled her rotten... I pray I will still be able to take good care of her too.. because I just love her so much:) I hope she is protected of Cate... she loved baby Jackson.. so I pray she will love Cate and adjust to me being with Cate all the time....
Saturday Ryan made the bed with Halley still in it:) She didn't want to move... and when we were leaving.. she made her way out:)




* I took Ryan to look at baby bedding and cribs and rockers this weekend:) We also, went and bought Cate some books... Ryan wanted to get Cate some books that he used to love as a kid:) He got her Where the Wild Things Are, Green Eggs and Ham and some other favorites:) Here is the bedding I LOVE from pottery barn... it is the fairy theme.. think I'll do her walls in pink or lavender.. or maybe both.. not sure yet...








* A dear family friends father passed away yesterday morning unexpectedly. Phil is one of my dads very best friends and his father passed away! Please keep Phil and his family in your prayers!

* We meet our pediatrician at a church fundraiser Saturday night:) He is the cutest sweetest man ever! He goes to our church and his daughter will be in my sisters 3 year old class next year:) We are going to his office in July... to see the place and meet him again in his work environment:) My brother,sister and I grew up going to the drs. office he works at and my nephew goes to him and little cousins:)So he came highly recommended!!

Easter Egg Contest

Well... the contest was a success:)
I did not win this year:( But everyone was actually a winner!
This year we drew partners.. because there was a lot more family friends participating... I drew Kegan:) yeah!! But didn't want to take over with all my great ideas... He is 6 and wanted to do a rattle for Cate and then do a baby Cate.. so that is what we did!! We did receive most creative and Kegan was darling when we got our award, money and goodie bag:)
