I love throwing showers! Wedding Showers, Baby Showers... any kind!!! I know the ladies at our local inviting place on a first name basis! I especially love picking out the invites and picking out the cake!! I always have the invites and the cakes match.... Its one of my favorite things!My husband always says I should be a party planner... but I'll just stick to shower planning:)
One thing I love is buying baby gifts and wedding gifts... Sometimes I go off the registry and get things that are my favorite things... Recently I have gotten a lot of shower gifts at Williams-Sonoma and have done a little "Emily Favorite Things," theme as the shower gift:) Here are a few of my favorite things from there:) In a week I am going to do a giveaway of the punch bowl/cake dome:) Be watching for it!!!
Punch Bowl/Cake Dome
I love this!! It is a cake dome and a punch bowl, just flip the base over and stick the dome in the base and it is a punch bowl! And it is $30.00!! Awesome gift! Then I have them flip it over in a punch bowl set up and put all the other fun goodies inside and celo wrap it!!
Dish Towels
I love their dish towels! The ribbed ones absorb a ton of water and they are soo cute
Colorful Measuring Cups and Mixing Bowls!
I love all the differnt colors and the bowls are the perfect size for all kinds of mixing!!
Spatulas
I love their spatulas and they always come in fun colors and look super cute tied with a bow on the outside of the celo:)
Paring Knives
Best knives ever! I use my green knife for just about all of my cutting needs:) ha!

I love to give personalized things for babyshowers. My favorite gifts are baby spoons that are hand stamped by Erin @ The Vintage Pearl and personalized baby shoes by Mandy @ The House of Rose! They're SO cute! :)
I haven't given any extrodinary wedding gifts... but I have a soft spot for Le Crueset spatula/scrapers that have glitter in the rubber part, fun! My BFF is getting married in a month and I plan on calling their resort in St. Lucia to pay for a couples massage!
I love to give a crock pot because i use mine so much! And I also love to give a basket with all of the baking utensils such as mixing bowls, muffin tins, pot holders, measuring cups, etc. I need one of those punch bowl things!!
crock pot...because i adore mine and think every girl should have a kitchen item she is in love with! i am loving the punch bowl/cake dome gift, pretty brilliant.

I love to give a recipe book filled with recipes from Family and Friends cause before marriage I survived on ramen and beer and had no clue what to cook for my hubby! :-)
I love to find out where the couple is honeymooning and send champagne and strawberries to their room, pay for one of their dinners, or pay for an excursion while they are there. Thats more of a gift for the wedding not a shower gift.

I LOVE those mixing bowls and towels - we use ours all the time. Haven't ever seen the punch bowl/cake dome - what a great gift!
I can't wait to see the favorite baby gifts to give. I feel like I have way more baby showers coming up than wedding showers. I would love to receive any of those things and love to give baskets of things.

ohh loved what you picked out! We registered for the cake plate/punch bowl bud didn't end up getting it. It's still on my wish list! I love to make up a basket of assorted items depending on their interests. I just threw a shower over the weekend and I gave my friend a vintage inspired apron by boojiboo, custom spice set by Gneiss Spice, Le Creuset spatulas, baking pans from WS and a set of mixing bowls with lids from pampered chef! I love bundling up assorted items!

I definitely need a good paring knife and I have been wanting a cake plate like that (one of our moves a long time ago I put our my bouquet and one of my bridemaid's bouquets in our cake plate and it looked so cute, I haven't taken them out, haha!) I would love any of those items! I hope you're doing great!
