12 Month Sneak Peeks

Cate had her 12 month pictures taken last week and the three that Kristen has posted of darling! I love her work and I love how she is able to capture such amazing moments of Cate:) We bought a baby plan package from Kristen when I was pregnant and her 12 month pictures were the last of the package:( Big tear! Guess that means we just need another baby!! LOL! My parents are having our families pictures taken by Kristen this fall and I will have her photograph us then for our Christmas card!! So FUN:)

12 Months Old

I can't believe Cate is 12 months old:) A WHOLE year! So crazy! I am a little behind on this months update post!!

I feel like it was just yesterday when we brought her home from the hospital. I can't believe she is a year!! Time really does fly by! I used to cry when she was itty bitty and people would tell me that time flies and to enjoy the now! But really it is so true and I truly try to savor every single moment I spend with Cate and my family!!! I thank God all the time for blessing us with Cate. I do not know what we did before she was born... I know we were happy but gosh, were we this happy? Cate makes me smile all day long! Even when she is fussy, tired or cranky, I still look at her and smile because we made her out of our love for each other!!! What an amazing blessing it is to be a parent. The last year has been the most amazing year of my life. I have learned so much about myself and about Ryan. I fell in love with Cate the minute I knew I was pregnant with her. It was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT when I saw her. I cannot imagine my life without her in it.

My mom used to always say that when one of her kids or my dad where gone, away from home, etc., that part of her heart was missing. I feel that. Cate fell asleep really early the other night at my parents house. I decided to not wake her and leave her there to get a good nights rest. I cried on the drive home because I missed her and felt like a part of my heart was missing. She is my heart and soul and I am so thankful that God put her in Ryan and I's life. I am so happy that God chose Ryan and I to be her parents!

Cate at 12 months old:)

* She is so busy. Pulls up on everything, walks around all the furniture
* She still prefers to crawl. She is a fast crawler and gets into everything
* She does not like to hear the word NO
* Sometimes the word NO causes her to cry
* She can be a bit of a drama queen. Ryan said she gets that from me?? Hmph
* She LOVES our golden retriever Daisy. She says "Hi Daisy." She loves to hug daisy, kiss her and pat her
* She loves to say HI
* She has stood up on her own but no walking
* She loves push toys and will walk all around with them
* She loves to jibber jabber
* She loves to make the motor boat sound with her lips
* Bath time is her favorite time of the day
* She LOVES dolls. She rocks them, kisses them, snuggles them and feeds them bottles
* For her birthday she got a stroller and she will cram 4 dolls in the stroller and walk them around
* I have caught her trying to get in the stroller
* Walks are another favorite of hers
* When she goes on a walk with my parents, she holds Daisy's leash:)
* When we walk outside, she claps
* She sleeps from about 9-8
* She takes two naps a day still
* She loves Mother's Day Out but is still not a big fan of the gym daycare
* She has only two teeth still
* She has the most beautiful blue eyes and her hair is blond blond blond
* She loves to give kisses and hugs. She leans in for a kiss with her mouth wide open
* Other words she sometimes says, Duck, dog, ok, bye bye, ma ma ma ma, daddy, bottle,
* She loves when we dance around the room with her. She cracks up laughing
* She doesn't like having her diaper changed or getting dress. Anything that slows her down, makes her mad
* She has started only taking 1 bottle a day. Sometimes she takes the nighttime one. Sometimes not. We have her almost fully transitioned to cows milk and then will take away the bottle all together:( Sad face because I love feeding her a bottle
* She loves turning the water in the bath tub on and off
* Water is her best friend
* She is a great eater and loves yogurt
* We also have a little girl who loves sweets
* I gave her a chocolate chip cookie last week and she LOVED it
* Anything with cheese on it makes her smile and gobble it right down
* When I fold laundry she "helps," me... I fold it, she unfolds it!
* She plays with her hair when she is tired
* She loves her paci
* She is equally a mommy's girl and daddy's girl
* She loves to clap
* She knows where her nose and ears are
* Sometimes when we ask her where her nose is, she puts her finger in her nose
* When you say, "How big is Cate?" She puts her hands up in the air and we say, "SOOO BIG:)"
* In the last week, during nap time, I lay her down and she goes right to sleep
* We moved her green polka dot chair to the living room because she loves that chair
* She is a bag lady:) LOVES bags, just like her aunt Sarah. Lately, paper bags have been a hit. She loves to put her babies and toys in the bags
* When music is playing she bounces up and down
* Her legs are always crossed
* Her toes are always painted:)
* She loves going to get pedis with me and my mom. I feed her mum mums while her toes dry
* She loves playing with other kids
* She has made boys her age cry twice. She is a toy stealer
* She loves Popsicles
* She loves to read books, especially ones that are touch and feel
* She has a loud scream!! (Not good)
* Sesame street is her favorite show. She only watches it when I have to shower or get ready in the morning
* We had to put locks on a lot of cabinets and drawers. Someone is very interested in them.
* Our family friends have a daughter who is 5 and Cate loves her. She wants to do everything Blythe does:)
* When we are all sitting around talking and we laugh at something, she laughs too! ha
* She has some styling sunglasses and loves putting them on and then looking at herself in the mirror
* She also, gives herself kisses in the mirror and talks to herself. I used to do that. Oh and I would cry and watch myself cry in the mirror! OH NO!
* She does not like carrots
* Sharing a banana in the mornings with her daddy makes her happy
* She loves brushing her teeth
* A week after her one year shots, she ran a high fever and was cranky:( Poor little girl
* She loves going through my purse and pulling stuff out
* She loves drinking out of a sippy cup
* She is forward facing in the car now and loves it
* When we pray before dinner, we hold hands, she loves holding hands and participating in the prayer now
* We pray before bed too

Gosh, we LOVE her so much!!

My Little Mouse's First Day of School

Last Wednesday Cate went to her first day of Mother's Day out. She went in the summer but this was her first day for the fall semester:) She goes one day a week:)
She cried when I dropped her off. I mean she really really cried, head back, red face, huge tears kind of cry:( Breaks my heart! I called to check in about 30 minutes after I dropped her off and she was on a walk and waving and having a good time:) When I came to pick her up, she acted like she wanted to stay there all day!

My sister gave her a mouse backpack for her birthday and a mouse riding toy! I got her a matching mouse lunch box and she wore a mouse shirt! She was all "moused out!" HA

Some New Fall Clothes

I LOVE Ann Taylor Loft! LOVE!! Today I went there and got just a few things! I had my eye on a lot of fall things but my birthday is this month and so I just got a few things:)


I've been itching for a pair of jeggings:) I got these today and I'm in LOVE:)



I love ATL's lounge section... I got this sweatshirt in grey and it looks cute with comfy pants and my new jeggings




I got this blouse in white and it also looks cute with my jeggings!

Cate LOVES Cake

I kind of had a small suspicion that Cate would LOVE her smash cake! I thought she would be the type to just stuff her face and chow down! Man, was i right!!! She was a little unsure at first and then dug right in!! I will let the pictures and video do the talking! I have a lot more pictures from the party to post and will post them soon:) Thanks so much for all the kind words on my party post! I really appreciate them all! You guys really know how to build a friend up. You rock:)
