I cannot believe that Cate is 13 months!! Time sure does fly when you are having fun!!!
13 Months Happenings:)
* She is really starting to chat, chat, chat! She is quite the jibber jabber! She has a lot to say and I have even found her chatting up a storm to Daisy
* Speaking of Daisy, Cate LOVES Daisy! She hugs her and lays on her and adores her!
* She is starting to stand a lot on her own. She sometimes doesn't even know she is standing on her own
* We went to the beach a couple weeks ago and she now loves the sand! She even tried to eat it:)
* She is so brave! Maybe too brave. Several times she crawled straight for the ocean water
* She loves the ocean
* She loves going to the park and swinging. When I let the dogs out in the morning, she crawls to the door and says, "more."
* She says, "more," anytime she wants more of something or likes something
* She calls me "Mama!" No sweeter sound
* She is equally a "Mommy's Girl," and "Daddy's Girl."
* When Ryan gets home from work, it's all about Daddy.
* She loves playing "Where is Cate?" She puts her hands over her face and it is so cute!
* She loves showing us a 1 with her finger. We say, "How Old is Cate?" and she shows us a 1!
" We are big OSU Cowboy fans and our mascot is Pistol Pete. He has a gun and when we score a touchdown, the announcers usually say, "Pistols Firing!" Cate will make a pistol sign with her hands:) And we say, "GOOOO POKES:)"
* She loves being outside!
* Her Cozy Coop is her new favorite toy. She sometimes loads it up with babies and diapers and then sits on top of it all
* She also loves her new wagon! She will crawl to the back door and point towards the garage and say, "More!!"
* Somedays she is a great eater and somedays a not so great eater
* She now has both her two top front teeth:) So Cute
* Not so cute... she is currently cutting 4!! Yep you read that right... 4!!!4! MOLARS! She has not been sleeping well at night or napping
* My 9-9 sleeper is gone and she cries most of the night:( I feel so bad for her and wish there was more I could do to help her sleep
* Her gums are sooo sooo sooo swollen! Poor Baby
* She loves her friends! She loves FINLEY so much and gets so excited to see her.
* She doesn't quite grasp being gentle right now though
* She grabs and hugs and pulls Finley close... I think she just wants to squeeze her with all the love she has for her
* She goes to Mothers Day Out, one day a week
* Everyday when I pick her up, they say she was, "Perfect!"
* I wonder if they sometimes lie to me, I mean no fussing, fits, whining at all... not once all day?
* She is happiest outside and playing
* She doesn't like having her nose suctioned
* She has definitely decided when she doesn't like something that it is ok to let us know
* Luckily she doesn't do that all too much
* She loves going on walks
* We took her to the fair and she loved all the animals and riding the horses
* She is afraid of nothing
* She rode a camel at the pumpkin patch and then rode the horses again
* Maybe Gammie and Poppa will get her a real pony someday. Just Kidding Mom!
* She loves her cousins, Grant and Evan
* Sometimes she is a great sharer, sometimes not so much
* She loves giving kisses and hugs
* Her hugs are the best hugs ever. She hugs by leaning into your arm and laying her head on your shoulder or chest
* She kisses with her eyes wide open and mouth wide open and makes the sound, "mmmmmm!"
* I love when she falls asleep on my chest
* I cannot carry a tune or keep a beat, but I made up a lullaby for Cate and she LOVES it

* I shared because I pray I always remember and want her to always remember the song I made up one night. I made it up in the middle of the night. When she woke up biting on her hand because her poor gums hurt so bad
* We pray before we eat dinner and we hold hands as we pray. Cate loves holding hands and smiles while we pray
* She started swim lessons tonight and she loved it. She is in a class with her Friends Addison, Jackson and cousin Evan
* She took 12 steps last night. She was walking for a cookie:)
* Ryan missed those steps but when we got home she took more steps to him and then back to me:)
* Today, she was not interested in walking at all
* She weighs 22 lbs even. On Monday she stood on the scales all by herself at the Drs office
* Speaking of the Drs office, she is like the worlds best kid when we are there. She sits really still and observes. It's so cute
* She loves listening to her music in the car
* She loves her baby dolls.
* Every time I come to pick her up from MDO, she is pushing a baby around in a the stroller
* She kisses and hugs her babies all the time and puts them in her car and pushes them all around the house
* I got her an elmo doll and she loves it too
* Brushing her teeth is a favorite of hers
* Taking a bath is always a favorite
* If she ever falls, bumps her head or knees or gets any kind of boo boo, a popsicle can cure any sadness
* She loves to wave
* She saw me watching her during swim lessons and started waving at me
* She has the cutest giggle ever. I love to make her belly laugh
* She loves to crawl up the slide more than sliding down
* If there is any laundry on the floor, she tries to put it on
* She actually likes to wear shoes
* She loves wearing things on her head
* I always wear headbands and she loves when Ryan put them on her head
* The grass no longer makes her cry. She loves crawling in it now
We love her so much and we thank God every single day for the blessing that she is in our lives!
