Six Month Photo Shoot in San Fran

Happy Friday!!

While in Cali:) Cate turned 6 months! I really cannot believe she is already six months old! Time really does fly by! When I was pregnant with Cate, when people would tell me, "Enjoy every minute, it goes by so fast..." I would bawl!! It made me so so so so sad! I just couldn't imagine the months flying by so quickly! But gosh they really have!!!

Cate did so well on her first flight. She slept the whole way there and had one small crying spell on the first leg home, but we just fed her and she fell right to sleep! She is just the friendliest little girl, she loves staring at people!!ha!

Her are some Cater highlights:

* She loves our dogs! Daisy gets her cracking up all the time
* Bath time is one of her favorite times of day!
* Getting out of her bath, not so much a favorite
* She LOVES all kinds of baby food!! I mean she gobbles it down!!
* She HATES getting her face wiped off!
* I swear she said "MA MA" the other night and then Ryan heard her say it and she was straining her neck to look for me and find me and said it again! I think she said her first word:) She says it a lot and I hope she knows it is me!
* She is still a rolling machine and sometimes lays her head down and moves a tiny bit but not much!
* She still hasn't mastered sitting yet.. getting close but still falls from side to side
* She loves her best friend Fin!! They both just light up when they see eachother! It is the cutest thing in the world! Cate and I are very very blessed to have Allison and Finley in our lives!
* When we are on the couch at night she loves to have a hold of my hand and Ryans, or she likes to touch Ryans face and have a hold of my hand! She has to be touching us both!
* Cate LOVES her Auntie Sarah! Sarah can get Cate to smile bigger than I have ever seen her smile! Anytime I want to take good pictures of Cate, I call her:) Auntie is soo good to her!!
* Cate also, loves the time she gets to spend with her Gammie and Poppa(my parents) I spend a lot of my days with my mom, and that being said... I LOVE it and hope that someday Cate and her children will want to spent as much time with me, as I want to spend with my mom and dad!
* My dad LOVES feeding Cate, it is the cutest thing:)
* Cate recieved her first Valentine flowers:) Her Uncle Patrick gave her a pink rose:) I have the cutest pictures of the two of them together to post!
* We tried the sassy jumper today... she loved it for about 5 minutes and then hated it
* She still loves to swing... she is awake in the morning for about an hour and then gets fussy and wants to swing and be left alone
* As I said on Monday, my daughter is a bow puller outer:) She loves to pull her bows out and her bff fins:)
* Socks no longer stay on her feet, we pull those off too:)
* She loves pulling on Halley's fur and Daisy's fur! Daisy is much more understanding
* She loves other kids... she loves staring at large loud families and smiling and seems so interested.. like she is saying, "Mom and Dad, I want brothers and sisters!" Give us some time Cate and you will, God willing, have brothers and sisters:)
* She loves going to church and hearing herself echo!! Yep we have to sit in the cry room most masses bec someone has discovered her voice echos there

We love her so much and fall in love with her even more every single day! God truly blessed us when He put Catharine Isabella in our lives! I thank HIM every night for such an amazing, beautiful blessing!

Bloggy Meet Up In Cali:)

While in San Fran I was able to meet up with Meagan, her husband Garrett and their precious baby boy Rowan!!! We were supposed to meet up Bubba Gumps but my Aunt, Sister, Mom and I went to the wrong place, sat down, ordered drinks and then realized we were not at Bubba Gumps! LOL! Meagan was walking all around Bubba Gumps Looking for us:) Poor Girl:)

Meagan is the sweetest girl ever and he husband is super awesome too! Rowan and Cate were instant friends! They were both reaching for each other and when Cate woke up from her nap and we brought Rowan over... she lit up:) I soo soo soo wish Meagan and I lived so much closer( as I do many of my blog friends:( ) Meagan and Garrett are going to LA this summer and we are going to meet somewhere in between:)

Monday Randomness

Happy Monday My Friends;) I am full of random pictures today:) yay!! ha! Next week I will be doing my first giveaway ever... so spread the word:)

I got to meet this little cutie last week and I am going back to see her tomorrow:) She is Leighton Marie and she is Cate's friend! Her mom and dad are Kaitlin and Stephen. Ryan and Stephen were both FIJIs and Leighton is the most darling little girl! She is so precious and we love her so so much! Welcome sweet sweet girl!

I busted this little white furry friend yesterday:) Seems to me she was trying to get into the trashcan!!

This is now what our living room looks like on most evenings! Like a daycare:) But I'm OK with that!!

Cate's new favorite thing to do is pull her bows out of her hair! I just take them and put them right back in! Every girl needs a bow in her hair!!

Tonight we had breakfast for dinner and mimosas:) Don't mind if I do:)

We always make fun of my dad for wearing his pants up high... he says he is high waisted!! So this is what he always does to Cate! She wants to be like her Poppa!

Today at Target I fell across Sour Patch Jelly Beans! I must say they are AMAZING! I also, order in Jan a Camera Strap Slipcover and it came today and I LOVE it too:)

Favorite Wedding Gift to Give

I love throwing showers! Wedding Showers, Baby Showers... any kind!!! I know the ladies at our local inviting place on a first name basis! I especially love picking out the invites and picking out the cake!! I always have the invites and the cakes match.... Its one of my favorite things!My husband always says I should be a party planner... but I'll just stick to shower planning:)

One thing I love is buying baby gifts and wedding gifts... Sometimes I go off the registry and get things that are my favorite things... Recently I have gotten a lot of shower gifts at Williams-Sonoma and have done a little "Emily Favorite Things," theme as the shower gift:) Here are a few of my favorite things from there:) In a week I am going to do a giveaway of the punch bowl/cake dome:) Be watching for it!!!

Punch Bowl/Cake Dome

I love this!! It is a cake dome and a punch bowl, just flip the base over and stick the dome in the base and it is a punch bowl! And it is $30.00!! Awesome gift! Then I have them flip it over in a punch bowl set up and put all the other fun goodies inside and celo wrap it!!

Dish Towels

I love their dish towels! The ribbed ones absorb a ton of water and they are soo cute

Colorful Measuring Cups and Mixing Bowls!

I love all the differnt colors and the bowls are the perfect size for all kinds of mixing!!

Spatulas

I love their spatulas and they always come in fun colors and look super cute tied with a bow on the outside of the celo:)

Paring Knives

Best knives ever! I use my green knife for just about all of my cutting needs:) ha!

Cate & Her BFF Fin & Travel Tips Needed & Prayers Needed

Happy Late Valentines Day Friends:)
I have some fun photos to post this week of a photo shoot Allison and I did of the girls for their daddy's V Day gifts:)

But first I must show some pictures we took of Cate and Fin on their snow day together!! I love these two little girls so much:)

Traveling with a Baby:)

So my mom, sister, Cate and I are traveling on a girls trip to San Francisco on Thursday morning! This will be Cate's first plane ride!! Does anyone have any tips for this momma?? Any and ALL advice is welcome:)

Growing With Our Green Chair

Hi Hi Hi:)
Today my best friend, who I thought never read my blog, asked me why I haven't updated my blog?? Well, my computer has been acting up!!! So now I am back:) Yay!! I have really missed blogging and I have been staying up to date on everyone's blog via my IPhone!! Just hard to comment on the good old IPhone!
I promise (PROMISE) to stay up to date with my blog!!

Cate is really starting to grow into herself! She is soo soo soo much fun!
She:
- giggles
- belly laughs
- rolls everywhere..... like rolls from one end of the room to the other
- reaches out for me
- eats ceral, green beans, peas, sweet potatoes & apple sauce. We tried carrotts but they upset her stomach, so we will try them again in a month or so!
- She can sit up for about one second!! Then she falls over
- Her hand eye coordination is great! She now will see a paci in her bff Finleys mouth and successfully reach over and pull it out of her mouth and put it in her mouth
- She loves dogs....
- She loves target, when we go her eyes get real big with excitement
- She loves to read
- She loves when I make a monkey sound and dance around the room,that gets her belly laughing every single time
- She loves playing peek a boo with her daddy
- She sleeps from 930-630 and then eats and sleeps till 930
- Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night for a diaper change, girl doesnt like to be in a wet diaper! I dont blame her
- WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW once she started eating ceral and baby food, her diapers have been ughhhh!!!
- She loves to hold onto your face when you feed her a bottle, she kind of strokes your chin, its the sweetest thing
- She loves her best friend Finley, they really do know eachother
- The other night, her cousin Grant had her laughing harder then she ever has, Ryan was acting like Cate was chasing him, chasing after people is her new favorite thing. Good workout for her mommy and daddy
- She LOVES her feet! Always has a hold of both of them at the same time
- She won't keep socks on because she pulls them off
- She loves her taggie blankie and when she is tired she holds it up to her face
- She loves her Sophie the giraffe

Cate is a blessing from above and we do not know what we would do without her. I thank God everyday for her and pray to God and Mary everynight to watch over my sweet sweet girl!!
I have missed you guys and can't wait to catch up with you:) Im on twitter everyday:) And follow lots of you there:)

16 Week Old Cate

Oh my precious Cater Bug:) I can't believe 16 weeks ago today you were born! It makes me sad to think how fast time has flown by but you are sooooo much fun right now!
- You are trying so hard to roll over
- You roll side to side
- You still hate being on your tummy!How will you ever learn how to crawl if you hate tummy time??
- You eat 4oz of milk every 3 to 4 hours
- Sometimes at night you eat at 5, 730 and 930 because then you sleep from 10-630, you eat at 630 and then go back to sleep until 945!! Good girl:)
- You are quite the little smiler and "talker," you let out the most adorable squeals ever! I have a video but I just cant get it to post! Dang it:(
- Your hair is becoming more blond as the days go by
- When you wake up in the morning you always have the biggest smile on your face
- You have become quite the Mommy's girl:) that is OK with me:)
- You love swinging in your swing.. you take a 2 hour morning nap in your swing, in fact I tried to move you to your crib for your morning nap and you were not happy with me
- You love your Christmas taggie blanket. You love hugging it and petting it!!
- Sometimes when I feed you, you pet my arm!
- If you are hungry and I'm not getting the bottle fast enough, you can throw quite the tantrum:) With big huge tears included
- You love playing on your play mat and have learned how to reach for the toys on it, you even know how to hold on to some of them!!
- You are still sleeping in the bassinet in our room. You love your crib just fine but mommy and daddy haven't gotten enough courage to move you ten steps across the hall

You are truly a blessing to us and I do not know what we would do without you. I really do not remember life without you! Thank you God for blessing our life with the most precious gift of all!!

Cate has been tailgating at our OSU football games since she was 2 weeks old!! Every game weekend my mom calls and says... "will Cate be at the game? Everyone can't wait to see her!!" She has made all the games but two.. Well she doesn't go in them, because our school makes you buy a ticket for a baby!! I think that is crazy! We are blessed that Ryan's parents live in town and they watch her while mommy and daddy go to the game! I sure do miss her though!! Here are a TON of fun pics of Cate's tailgating expierences:)

Where Have We Been??

Helllooooooo!!!! I am soo very excited to be back to the blogging world:) We took a little break and here is why!??

* Now that we are a family of three (I mean five... Halley and Daisy), I needed to make some security changes on my blog so that things were a little "safer."

* I won't go into detail but I felt a little uneasy about an email so I decided I need to change our URL and change a few other things:)

I'm so excited to be back to the blogging world! I have missed everyone and I know a lot of my family has missed reading my blog! I will have a laptop at home now and wi-fi:) yay!!

Our lil cupcake is 11.5 weeks old!! She is soooo much fun! We have so much fun all day long! But I must admit... being a stay at home mom is tough work!! More power to all those moms out there who are a mom and go to work at the office everyday... I do not know how you do it!!! My hat goes off to you!!

Cate is cooing up a storm and smiling all the time! She LOVES when I neigh like a horse and pretend to be a monkey!! She also Loves when we makeup songs!! I LOVE being a mom, I really cannot imagine my life without her in it!!

Here are some pictures of our lil sweetie:) She is 11.5 weeks old and around 11.5 pounds!! She is in the 60% for weight and 85% for height:) Long lil bean!!

A couple nights before Cate's arrival I wanted to give everyone in my family a present and Ryan one too! I gave them presents because I wanted to thank them for being so helpful during my pregnancy and helping out with all our home renovations... I gave my brother a picture framed for his new college house, my sister decor for her new apartment, my mom a gift card to get her nails done, my dad $50 gift card to sonic.. he goes their every morning for a drink and Ryan a watch with something engraved on the back! Well Ryan surprised me that night and gave me a present too! He gave me the most beautiful David Yurman ring with Cate's birthstone in it! I had never even seen this ring before!! I wore the ring during labor and every time I look at it I remember how loved I am:)

Aug 21, 2009 - Welcome Catharine Isabella

Hello my sweet sweet friends!
I am so sorry for my absence... having a new baby around and a husband at work, makes for a very very busy day! At the end of the day I feel like I haven't really gotten much done but I do have a beautiful little girl:)

My water broke at 230am on August 21! We went to the hospital and by 2:39 we had a 7lb 7 oz little bundle of joy! She has a full head of brown hair but it gets lighter as the days go by! She is just the sweetest lil thing we have ever met! The last two weeks with her have been wonderful! She does have her days and nights completely mixed up but I heard that too will pass! I am feeling well, expect for the emotions! I cry a lot, prolly because I am tired and some because I just don't want her to grow up to fast! I just love her more than words can say.

Ryan was able to spend our first week home with us and that was such a blessing. I was so sad when he went back to work but my mom and sister stepped in and helped out a ton!! My sister starts work this week, she is taking over my position at my job and I will be staying home with Cate full time! Good luck sister! We are really going to miss you this week! My sister was over at our house every morning by 9am! I really do not know what I am going to do without her!

I will post a few pics on today's post and spend most of the week, sharing more pictures... trust me.. I have taken over 500 already! Wow!
Thank you for all the encouragement, prayers, kind words, thoughtfulness and love over the last 10 months! I am so blessed to have all of you guys as friends! Thank you!!

Hello My Friends

Hello My friends:)
I am sorry I have been soo MIA!! I have had a ton going on! Ever since my examine last Wed.. I am been having some sort of contractions... not so painful at first and they have become more painful thru the weekend!! Then on Friday morning Ryan's grandfather passed away.. so we have just had a ton going on!

THANK YOU guys for all the encouraging words on my last post! I will cherish those words forever! You guys have all made me feel a lot more "ready."

So Sunday night we made a trip to the hospital, my contractions were about 5 minutes apart and last anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes! Well they hooked me up to a machine and I was n fact having painful hard contractions... but they were a little inconsistent. So, I walked to an hour to see if I would dilate anymore. I dilate .85 and so they gave me a shot of Stadol and sent me home:( I talked to my Dr yesterday (because she wasn't on call Sunday night) and she said if I went in last night and had dilated one more cm, she would break my water, since I am in so much pain. Or I could wait until my apt tomorrow and see if I have dilated more then. So I am grinning and baring it and walking, walking, walking! So, maybe we will meet Cate tomorrow.....

Good news is, if we don't meet Cate tomorrow, we are inducing Sunday, August 23rd at 7am!! So no matter what, by this time next week! I will be a mom! ahhhhhh!!! Am I ready... well my house is ready, our bags are packed and I guess I am as ready as I will ever be! Wonder what she will look like?

Plus... her nursery is done:) yay!I know you guys are going to love it:) Cant wait to share!

Pregnancy Worries

As the big day gets closer and closer... my anxiousness... worrying... excitement... nervousness... as hit an all time high.
Ryan gets more excited as it gets closer and yes I am SO EXCITED too but I also am a bit scared!
- How will my labor be?
- I pray Cate will be healthy
- Will I be a good mom?
- Will I be able to be a good mom, good wife, good daughter, good sister and good friend all at the same time?
- Will I be a nightmare to be around because I haven't had any sleep?

I know God will take care of all my worries but I hope all you moms out there and those who are not.. have experienced some kind of anxiety like this, whether it be over becoming a new mom or some big life changing step you have taken in your life, then I will know I am not alone:)

Weekend Fun

My cousin Alex has been visiting my family for the last month. She is 21 years old and is visiting from Europe, she just graduated from Oxford:) She is such a sweet sweet girl and I am so glad she spent the last month at my parents house! She left Monday for San Francisco, Vegas and New York! We will miss her sooo much!
While she was here, her boyfriend Phil and three of his "mates" visited.... George, Alex and Freddie! Also, very very nice young men! They have all graduated from Oxford as well and are biking across the US to raise money for a charity in Europe! They started in Florence, Oregon and will end in VA! They were so polite, fun and amazing guys! Here are a few pictures from their stay!!

35 & 36 Week Bump Update:)

Well Hello There!!!

Hello my friends! The last week of my life has been CRAZY!!! Here is a little recap of what we have been up too:)
- Last week we packed up our whole house...
- Packed up all Cate's stuff, picture frames, bed spreads, office stuff, everything
- TV, computer, surround sound system
- Clothes hanging in our closets
- Ryan and my family moved all our furniture to our bathrooms, kitchen tile, laundry room and garage
- Ripped out all the old carpet in the house
- Ripped out all the old carpet pads in the house
- Ryan and his family and my family sanded, cleaned and painted all the baseboards, door frames and window seals in the whole house
- My cousin from Europe has been in town for the last month and Thursday night her boyfriend and three of his friends came to my parents house to stay for the weekend
- They are currently biking across the US for a fundraiser over in Europe and took a few day break at my parents house
- My grandma was in town all last week
- The last two Saturday's I have had showers!!
- One was out of town
- Sunday I went to my sister in laws shower and semi-helped, helped as much as I could because my blood pressure has been a little high
- Saturday Night my parents had a big party for my cousin and her friends who were in town
- More house stuff had to be done Sunday and Monday, in order to Lowes to come and install the carpet
- Lowes is installing the carpet as we speak:)
- Then we have the whole process of moving everything back into the house
- Have to get everything organized
- And can start on Cate's nursery
- I have tons of pictures to share from the showers and from my cousins "mates" visiting
- I have bump updates
- TOMORROW WE WILL SET OUR INDUCTION DATE:) (inducing due to my high blood pressure)

I have missed everyone:)

* I have spent almost all of this morning catching up on blogs and have more blog reading to do this afternoon:) Oh yay I love new readers and followers:) Thanks for being soooo wonderful and great to me friends! You guys are the best!

* At our Dr apt last week, our Dr told us she will be inducing me around 38 weeks:) Which is around August 19Th:) Not next week, but the next, we will schedule the induction! She is inducing due to my high blood pressure!

* We have a baby shower this week! I am soo excited and so blessed! I will post tons of pics from it next week:) PROMISE:)

* During the ultrasound yesterday Cate showed us her finger and counted to five and then kind of waved... CUTEST.THING.EVER!

* Ryan hurt his shoulder really bad during his softball game wed! We had to get xrays! No bones are broken but we may have to get an MRI next week because he is in a lot of pain! Pray no surgery is needed! Poor GUY:( I know when he is really hurt because he always refuses to go to the dr... and this time, he suggested it!

* I have been feeling pretty good, just really tired and lots of headaches! I had to miss a bloggy friend/now real life friends:) meet up with Linds, Whitney and Megan on Wed night because I just wasn't feeling up to it! Promise girls... we must meet up before baby Cate gets here.. OK?

* Just wanted to thank my bloggy friends/real life friends:) Erin, Tracy and Lyns... We email each other quite often and I do not know what I would do without their constant enthusiasm, advice, comparative stories and just uplifting words:) Love you guys!!!
